Animals built from bricks

Pets, farm animals and a few from the sea. These builds lean on small details — ears, a mane, a beak, a fin — placed on a body plan that is deliberately simple, so the character comes from one or two well-placed parts rather than hundreds.

Small animals like the rabbit and the owl are good first builds: under 60 pieces and a single evening of work. The elephant and the giraffe are the opposite end, and both need shelf headroom.
